Lucy Huggins
What:
Photographers’ agent at Bareface a.k.a agony aunt, advisor, pa and general “Samaritan” to about 10 photographers
Describe a typical working day:
8:00am
Look out of the window to check the day’s weather conditions.
9:00am
Arrive in office, grab a coffee, sit down to check emails.
9.01am
Receive call from shipwrecked photographer – client’s boat has broken down and is adrift and awaiting rescue. Guess photo shoot will be postponed.
10.00am
Meet potential new photographer for coffee. Turns out he just needs a visa.
11:00am
Three humungous briefs arrive at once. All quotes required within the hour. Call clients and discover deadlines not so urgent after all. Brief the production, model and locations divisions. Organize image selection for right photographers.
12:00pm
Order lunch. Hope it will arrive soon.
1:00pm
Still no lunch! Collect new images from Bareface photographers. Edit and update their web pages. Make a couple of calls to arrange meetings with new clients.
2:00pm
Pop down to photo shoot. Hungry! Sunny but windy conditions. Chat to agency and clients. All Happy!!
4:00pm
Back in office. Lunch is here – soggy and cold! Meet with divisions to discuss the three humungous briefs. Quotes sent to clients.
6.30pm
Leave office. Traffic. Check emails from home. Receive brief from new client needing to shoot with a horse (which we will need to source) at 6am tomorrow – Arghhhhhh!!!!
